A Farewell to Friends
September 19, 2006
The end of the official visit was marked by a
farewell party at the Sportsmen's Club. After a steak cook-out, the
evening featured entertainment, dancing, and some tearful good-byes. |
The "One Voice" Gospel Choir began the
entertainment. |
The "3rd Peasant from the Right" group was
hilarious. |
And then some "home-grown entertainment" from
Saline-Brecon Guild Members |
and a touching musical farewell from the
Brecon visitors |
The Saline Big Band - long an important part
of this twinning relationship - provided the music for dancing and a
last opportunity to talk with friends on this visit. |

The evening ended with Carl Weller joining the
Saline Big Band for a moving rendition of "New York, New York". |
