There are several events planned throughout the visit and many of them are open to all members of the Guild (and all potential members as well!). During the visit our Brecon guests will be out and about in town and will have special nametags. Please say "Hello" and be sure to welcome them "home" to Saline. Sept. 6, 2001, 7:00 p.m. Union School Mayor Gretchen Driskell and the Saline City Council officially welcomed Mayor Arthur Bowley and the group from Wales. In addition to the current Mayors, three former Mayors of Brecon attended and four former Mayors of Saline welcomed old and new friends. The Fiddlers from Saline High School presented a special concert at the Saline Fair. The Fiddlers have become very well known and have traveled and performed nationally and internationally, including a very successful concert in Brecon. The Concert honored the Brecon visitors. Mayor Arthur Bowley made a special presentation of Millennium Medallions to Fiddlers leaders Bob and Pam Phillips.

Sept. 8, 2001, 1:00 p.m. Mayor and Mayoress Arthur and Dilys Bowley led the parade in a car with Judge and Mrs. Don and Marjorie Shelton followed by the Guild banner with many of the visitors, host families and other Guild members. The Saline crowd lining the parade route was enthusiastic and welcomed the Brecon friends with rousing applause along the entire length of the parade.
