Meeting called to order at 7:05 by Dottie Barnes



SECRETARY’S REPORT: from November 28, 2012 Board Meeting.Corrections – SBFG Annual Meeting --- Proposed (January) 13, 2013 added.  Moved Bunten, Seconded Blough. Approved with corrections.


TREASURER’S REPORT:  SBFG  has 25 Sustaining Members for 2013.

                        CD:                 $12,279.07

                        Chkg Act:       $ 4,455.83


                        Total:               $16790.90

Moved by Blough, seconded by Ceo to approve.  Passed.


SBFG OFFICERS AND BOARD MEMBERS FOR 2013.  Moved by Pam Ceo, seconded by P. Bunten to accept the slate as presented.  Passed.


Officers: President: Dottie Barnes, Vice-president: Paul Bunten, Secretary: Lucy Crossey, Treasurer: Rolf Amsler.


Board members: Dottie Barnes, David Blough, Paul Bunten, Pam Ceo, Dick Cunkle, Pat Lilley, Betsey Hubbard, Jim Low, Jim Roth, Bruce Westlake.


 BRECON NIGHT 2013.  APRIL 26, 2013.  Bruce Westlake requested approval to have Save the Date cards printed.  Bunten moved that Bruce is authorized to spend up to $50 for the cards.  Seconded by Lilley.  Passed.


Menu suggestions:  chicken, Swiss steak, a gratin potatoes, roasted red skin potatoes, green beans with almonds, buttered carrots, corn, tossed salad, rolls (white and wheat), coffee (decaf), tea, dessert --- something chocolate, cupcakes.  Bruce and Paul will meet with the Legion to obtain a price for the final menu.  They will email board members with results.  Brecon night attendance is usually around 100 people.


Reservations are requested by RSVP and tickets will be sold at the door.


Entertainment:  Dottie Barnes knows of members of a 5 piece jazz band that may perform for their supper.  She will approach them about performing at Brecon Night.



Paul Bunten has been in touch with Val Jones.  The Twinning Association will be meeting on February 7, 2013.  They would like to know who the travelers will be and with whom they would like to stay.  Information sheets being compiled.  Joan Roth said Jim Roth will send the compiled information to Paul.  Paul will then contact Brecon.


Twenty four travelers are confirmed with a possibility of 3 more traveling to Brecon.


MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY—Rolf Amsler reviewed the SBFG members listed in the most recent directory.  List updated.  He will email an updated copy to the membership.


RUBY TUESDAY –GIVE BACK DAY FEBRUARY 20, 2013   Flyers are being distributed around the city.  The Saline Area Senior Center printed a notice of the give back program in their February newsletter.  The November 14, 2012 Give Back Day proceeds to the SBFG amounted to $175.61
